Google’s VR painting app Tilt Brush has been around for a while. And now Google has announced it partnership with Oculus. Now, Google’s Tilt Brush for the Oculus Quest and it arrive on the all-in-one Oculus Quest. Tilt Brush, Google’s virtual reality painting tool. With the help of Quest’s two motion controllers, the app should work in a similar way to how it does on the Oculus Rift. Even though Google has said it’s had to make a number of jerks to allow the software to run on the Quest’s mobile processor
On the other hand, there is no specific date has been given by either side, but there news that will come in Spring 2019. However, that indicates that the app will be available not too long after the Quest launches, as it’s currently pinned for that same window.
Google’s Tilt Brush and Oculus Quest
Earlier, Tilt Brush was a launch title for the HTC Vive back in April 2016. It established the idea of true spatial art with 6DoF tracked controllers in room scale VR. In early 2017 shortly after the launch of the Oculus Touch controllers Google added Rift support.
On the other hand, the company has repeatedly told developers that the focus of the device’s content library is gaming. Tilt Brush is one of the few confirmed titles, so far, that expands this library to include creation rather than just consumption.
Furthermore, Google says Oculus Quest “will unlock completely new opportunities” for artists. The company expects the lack of restraining together to lead to “art that we never could have dreamed up before.”
Besides that, The Quest version of Tilt Brush will continue to support uploads to Poly, Google’s online 3D object library, if you want to share your work, or just gawk at what others have made.
